Prohibited and Limited Items

Updated this week

To keep everyone safe and happy at Camp, all attendees agree to a personal and baggage security search as a condition of entry. Here's what you need to know before you pack.

Prohibited Items

Bringing prohibited items will result in:

  • Confiscation of the item(s).

  • Refusal of entry without a refund.

  • In serious cases, involvement of the police.

The following items are strictly not allowed:

  • Weapons or potential weapons: Knives (except cooking knives with a blade under 3 inches), firearms, explosives, and flares.

  • Dangerous or disruptive items: Fireworks, smoke canisters, air horns, lasers, drones, sky lanterns.

  • Glass bottles: Of any kind.

  • Candles and flammable materials: Swedish logs, BBQs, liquid or gel fuels, pierceable gas canisters, screw-on gas canisters over 500g, and any gas container except steel or CalorGas containers up to 5kg fitted into a live-in vehicle.

  • Generators: Except fixed units in live-in vehicles.

  • Portable toilets

  • Marketing materials: Unofficial signage, high-visibility clothing, or promotional materials for other companies.

  • Pets and animals: No pets or animals of any kind are permitted on site, with the exception of registered assistance dogs (see FAQ below).

Limited Items

Some items are allowed but only in limited quantities. If you bring more than the permitted amount, the extra will be confiscated and won't be returned.

  • Alcohol:

    • Maximum allowance: 8 cans of beer, cider, wine, or pre-mixed spirits per adult guest.

    • Alcohol in glass, plastic containers, or boxes is not permitted.

    • Alcohol cannot be brought into the event from the Live-In Vehicle area.

  • Medication or Legal Drugs:

    • Only bring what you need for personal use over the weekend.

Be Prepared for Security Checks

  • To make your entry smooth and hassle-free, pack carefully and leave all prohibited items at home.

  • Stick to the limits for alcohol and medications so you can breeze through security.

FAQs

Can I bring my dog or pet to camp?

No, pets and animals are not permitted at Camp Wildfire or Camp Kindling. This includes dogs, cats, and any other animals. The site isn't suitable for pets and we're unable to make exceptions, so please arrange alternative care for the weekend.

What about assistance dogs?

Registered assistance dogs are welcome at Camp Wildfire and Camp Kindling. If you have an assistance dog and plan to bring them, please let us know as part of your accessibility application so we can make appropriate arrangements for your stay.
