Your Camp Wildfire ticket includes access to our General Camping area, where you can pitch your own tent and enjoy a true festival camping experience.
If you’d like a little more comfort (or to skip the setup), we also offer upgrades like Pre-Pitched Tents, Live-In Vehicle pitches and Boutique Camping, but most campers choose to bring their own tents to pitch up in General Camping.
Accommodation Options in General Camping
Bring Your Own Tent: Simply bring your tent, find a spot in the General Camping area, and pitch it wherever you choose. There are no fixed size restrictions on tents, but we do ask that tents be reasonable for your group size, to ensure there's enough space for everyone. Please leave plenty of space for neighbouring tents and keep walkways clear.
Reserved Camping Pitch (Upgrade at an additional cost): Ideal for those who want guaranteed space and a reserved area for their group. Pitches come in two sizes: 6m x 4m and 8m x 6m.
Pre-Pitched Tents (Upgrade at an additional cost): Perfect for first-time campers or anyone looking to skip the hassle of camp setup so you can focus on enjoying your weekend.
Facilities in General Camping
The General Camping area is fully equipped to make your stay comfortable:
Toilets & Showers: Serviced regularly.
Cooking Areas: So you can prepare your own meals if you wish.
Food Traders
General Store & Wildkind Stores: For essentials and camping supplies.
Bar & Café
Picnic Tables
Tip: Toilets and showers do get busiest early morning and early evening, but outside those times, queues are rare. If you can dodge the rush, it’s well worth it.
Additional Camping Areas (No pre-booking required)
Quiet Camping Area: Designed for those who prefer a calm and peaceful atmosphere. Look for the designated signs when you arrive. If daytime or evening noise is likely to bother you, we’d recommend choosing Quiet Camping, it’s designed to be quieter throughout the weekend (although it’s still part of a lively event!).
Solo Camping Area: A dedicated space for individual campers to feel welcome and comfortable. Signs will help you locate this area.
Key Information
Quiet Hours: 11pm-7am
We want you to have the best time, but please remember General Camping is a shared space, so please be considerate and keep noise levels to a minimum, overnight. Lots of people will be up bright and early for activities!
A few simple rules for quiet hours:
No speakers or amplified music
Keep voices low
Take any late night chatting to Base Camp
Outside quiet hours, the campsite will still be naturally lively, with people moving around, chatting and excitedly heading to and from activities and entertainment.
If excessive noise from other campers is disrupting your sleep during quiet hours and you don't feel comfortable speaking to someone directly, you can message our team on Whatsapp (+1 555 812 9924) and we'll do our best to help.
Car Parking
Cars must be parked in the designated car park. Parking next to your tent is not permitted- this is for health and safety reasons, including keeping emergency routes clear.
Even if you've been able to park next to your tent at other events or campsites, this is not possible at Camp Wildfire- and it won't change.
The car park is conveniently located just a 5–10 minute walk from the General Camping area.
Tip: A trolley or wheeled bag can be a lifesaver for getting your gear to the campsite. We also offer a porter service, who can wheel your things in for you in a wheelbarrow for a small fee.
Gazebos and Electricity
Gazebos are not allowed in the General Camping area.
Electrical hookups are not available in General Camping
Entry to General Camping: ticket holders only
To keep the event secure and running smoothly, only ticket holders are able to enter General Camping. This means friends or family who aren’t attending won’t be able to come in to help set up tents.
We know this can feel frustrating but it helps keep the event safe, fair and manageable for everyone.
The good news is the Wildfire community is famously friendly, if you need a hand, nearby campers are often happy to help. Our Rangers are also always happy to assist.
What It's Really Like........(For those who like the full picture)
General Camping is a shared, first-come, first-served camping field, which means:
You choose your spot when you arrive
Unless you've purchased a Pre-Pitched Tent or Reserved Camping Pitch, there are no marked out pitches in General Camping
Camping spots will naturally fill up as the day goes on
Choosing your spot
Some areas are more popular than others- but it really depends on what you prefer. For example:
Some campers like to be close to toilets, showers and/or Base Camp
Others prefer to camp a little further away for more peace and quiet
Some ground is flatter than others, and some areas can feel busier depending on foot traffic.
Arriving Later?
If you arrive later, you may need to camp in whatever space is still available. If having a particular spot or location is important to you, we recommend:
Arriving earlier to guarantee more choice, or
Booking a Reserved Camping Pitch for guaranteed space
Noise & Infrastructure (event reality!)
Like all large events, Camp Wildfire relies on generators and servicing vehicles to keep everything running smoothly.
This means:
some camping areas may be closer to generators, which can be noisy
toilets are cleaned and serviced in the early hours, when most people are asleep
you may hear occassional vehicles or activity overnight
If you're a light sleeper, we highly recommend bringing earplugs, and camping a little further from the facilities, walkways and service roads, if possible.
Rangers
Our Rangers (in purple shirts) will be around during peak arrival times to help guide you to available camping spots- but they can't:
reserve spaces
move other tents
hold spots for friends arriving later
Tip: If you're arriving at peak times, it's best to come with a flexible mindset and be prepared to pitch wherever there's space.
