Assigning and transferring both decide who a ticket is for, but they do very different things. Here's how to tell them apart and choose the right one.
Assigning a ticket keeps it in your account
When you assign a ticket, you're putting an attendee's name to it while keeping it in your own account. You stay in control and manage that person's weekend for them, choosing their activities and entertainment from your account.
It's the right choice when you've booked for friends or family and you're happy to be the one organising everyone's Enrolment. You can change who a ticket is assigned to at any time by clicking the three dots and clicking 'Remove ticket details' on your My Group page. Extras such as extra credits, spa sessions and wellness treatments are handled the same way, using the Assign to dropdown, so they can be used.
Transferring a ticket hands it over to someone else
When you transfer a ticket, it moves out of your account and into someone else's. Once they accept, the ticket is theirs: they log in to their own account, manage their own Enrolment, and you no longer have access to it.
Choose this when the other person wants to organise their own weekend, or when you're giving your ticket to someone else entirely.
The quick way to remember it
Assign = you keep the ticket and manage it for them. Transfer = you hand the ticket over and they manage it themselves.
How to transfer a ticket
On your My Group page, click Transfer to a different account at the bottom.
Select the items to transfer, enter the recipient's email address, tick the box to confirm you understand you'll lose access, then click Transfer.
They'll receive an email and need to log in (or create an account) under that email address, where the ticket will appear as a Pending Transfer to Accept. Items can't be used while pending.
You can revoke a transfer any time before it's accepted. Once it's accepted, it can't be reclaimed.
Good to know
One ticket is always assigned to you as the account holder and can't be transferred from your own account. If you need to move that one, get in touch and we'll sort it for you.
A ticket with activities already booked can't be transferred. Unenrol it from all activities first.
A ticket listed on the Marketplace can't be transferred. Remove the listing first.
Activity credits included with a ticket can't be moved between attendees.
Entry tickets are emailed separately and don't need transferring.

How to Unassign Tickets
If your tickets have already been assigned to members of your group but you now need to transfer them to a different account, you'll first need to unassign them.
To unassign a ticket, go to your My Group page, click the three dots in the top-right corner of the relevant ticket, and select "Remove (your) ticket details."
