Ace Ruele: Creature Bionics

Ace Ruele is a movement performer who has played apes and lions in The Legend of Tarzan, Planet of the Apes and Marvel's Eternals. He also founded Creature Bionics, which builds the rigs and performance techniques that let actors become other species entirely.

This is a rare look behind the curtain at how creatures on screen actually get made. Ace talks about the movement, the rigs and the craft that turn a human performer into another species.

It's also a talk about what people are capable of. Ace makes the case that the human body is more capable than you think, and shares how you build a career on being extraordinary. Come for the apes, leave slightly tempted to try walking on all fours.
