Chris Lintott

Chris Lintott describes himself as a distractible astronomer. He specialises in galaxy formation, machine learning (including anomaly detection) and occasional planet hunting. He's also an author, a broadcaster on the BBC's long-running Sky at Night and involved in all sorts of public engagement and outreach projects.

Big space knowledge, delivered by someone who is endlessly curious and really, really funny. Chris brings the universe down to earth, from how galaxies form to how machines can spot the strange things hiding in the data.

You don't need a telescope or a physics degree. Just a sense of wonder and room for a few laughs. Then step outside afterwards, look up and see the night sky a little differently.
