Cupids Club

Cupids Club is Camp Wildfire's real-world response to digital dating apps. It's a way to make new connections, whether they turn out to be life-long, weekend-long or purely platonic. It's open to all gender expressions, sexualities and relationship types, and your Cupids Hosts are on hand for matchmaking, conversation prompts and the odd playful challenge.

Keep things analogue. You make an instax profile at the Cupids Cabin, and it joins everyone else's there. Set yours up early in the weekend so more people see it, then check back to send and receive messages. The Cupids Cabin (sometimes called Cupids Corner) is also where you go to check your matches.

There are pop-up profile-making sessions in other parts of Camp too.

Mixers are the social heart of it. Day mixers are the chilled option, led through a simple activity, while evening mixers split the group at times so you can chat with the people most interesting to you.

Brief Encounters is speed dating and speed friending, Wildfire style, for straight people and anyone interested in genders other than their own. Queer Encounters is the LGBTQ+ version. Your Cupids Hosts lead quick, easygoing rounds of conversation, a few minutes with each person. Mark down anyone who caught your eye, whether you fancy them or just as a friend, and the match-making Cupids do the rest.

There's an LGBTQ+ pre-mixer meet-up for Cupids Club members who'd like to connect a little earlier, and Cupids Lates meet-ups, where a Cupids Host meets you so you can find fellow connection-seekers and pull shapes on the dancefloor.
