Dirty Nice

DIRTY NICE
Day-glo pop, big theatrics and a sprinkle of British eccentricity. Dirty Nice turn a gig into a proper sensory event.
Dirty Nice are a six-piece psychedelic pop band led by Charlie Pelling, the composer behind Don't Hug Me I'm Scared, with his Lisbon-based co-conspirator Mark Thompson. Their debut album, Lobster, picked up praise across the board.
Imagine MGMT's day-glo pop colliding with Flaming Lips theatrics, then sprinkled with British eccentricity. That's the one. Critics have called them 'mind-bending' (Rolling Stone), 'whimsical' (MTV) and 'charming' (The Fader), which is a pretty good summary of what you're in for.
The live show is a proper sensory event. It's colourful, a little bit strange in the best way and made for letting go. Come for the tunes, stay for the theatrics and don't be surprised if you leave humming something you can't quite explain.
