Guy Pratt

Guy Pratt is a legendary bassist who has worked with some of the world's greatest musicians and stars. He played for Pink Floyd at the invitation of David Gilmour and has been in demand with Madonna and Michael Jackson. He is also funny enough to have performed comedy shows at the Edinburgh Festival.

After supporting David Bowie in 1983 with his band Icehouse, he was spotted and went on to play for the likes of Robert Palmer, Bryan Ferry and Womack & Womack. Then David Gilmour asked him to play for Pink Floyd, and he was thrust into the global premier league of bassists.

After 13 months on the road he decamped to LA, where Madonna and Michael Jackson came calling. He has since played on a steady stream of hits by artists including Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Bryan Ferry, Iggy Pop and Debbie Harry.

Think backstage pass, minus the queue. Guy shares eye-opening and sometimes hilarious stories from a career spent playing alongside music legends. He's charismatic, interesting and properly funny, so settle in and enjoy the ride.
