KATHY MANIURA
Kathy Maniura calls herself a professional goofball, and she has the character comedy to prove it. Prepare to get properly silly.
Kathy Maniura is a self-described professional goofball who performs solo character comedy and as one half of the duo Horseplay. She was shortlisted for the BBC New Comedy Awards 2023, won Sketch Off 2020 and was a finalist in So You Think You're Funny? 2021.
In 2023 she performed her debut character comedy hour, OBJECTIFIED, at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. She was also longlisted for the ISH Newcomer Award. The Scotsman called her “Goofily daft and expressive”, which is about as good a summary as you'll get.
Big characters, big expressions and a lot of joyful nonsense. As an MC, Kathy keeps the whole room in on the joke and the evening bouncing along between acts.
