TC & The Groove Family
TC & THE GROOVE FAMILY
Ten musicians, one very big groove. Afrobeat, jungle, jazz and highlife collide, and your feet won't get a say in the matter.
TC & The Groove Family are a dynamic 10-piece collective from Leeds, led by drummer Tim Cook. They celebrate cultural unity through a vibrant mix of afrobeat, breakbeat, jungle, jazz and highlife, and they bring all of it to the stage at once.
Big, busy and brilliantly loud. With 10 players on stage and a drummer driving the whole thing from the back, there's a lot going on. One moment you're deep in a highlife groove, the next it's breakbeat and jungle rhythms with a jazzy twist.
Their live performances are all about the unifying power of music, so expect a crowd that starts as strangers and ends up dancing together. Wear shoes you can move in. Standing still is not really an option.
