Vinay Jobanputra (Bollyqueer)

Vinay Jobanputra is a dance artist who uses the vibrant, expressive world of Bollywood dance to challenge and redefine gender norms. They are the founder of Bollyqueer, an LGBTQIA+ affirming dance project that celebrates queer and South Asian identities.

Through performance and teaching, Vinay entertains and educates at the same time, using their platform to champion acceptance, equality and inclusion.

Bollyqueer teaches the art of Bollywood dance and throws a party for it at the same time. Expect sweeping spins, big expressive moves and plenty of colour, with a warm welcome for everyone who wants to join in.

Whether you've been dancing for years or have never tried a Bollywood step in your life, it's a joyful, affirming space to move, learn and celebrate.
