He is the founder of the YesTribe, a community of people who are passionate about saying “yes” to new experiences. Dave has traveled the world on long-distance journeys without motors, and he has written several books about his adventures. He is also the host of the Self Propelled podcast.Dave’s mission is to use adventurous stories and ideas to create spaces, events, and opportunities to encourage and empower others. He believes that everyone has the potential to live an adventurous life, and he is passionate about helping people to take risks and step outside of their comfort zones.
Effie Pappa
Effie Pappa is an Award winning Director and Animator based in Athens and London. Her work explores characters and discusses universal themes depicting human concerns through allegory, absurdism and black humor. Her films have been screened and awarded internationally with her stand out film “My Stuffed Granny”, which won twenty Awards for Best short film during 2014 at the Edinburgh Film Festival, Tokyo Anime Awards, Palm Springs, New York among others. She also directs for commercials and music videos including “Wild World” by Cat Stevens!

Unwitting star of Shooting Stars (BBC2), Dave’s One Night Stand and Channel 4’s The Angelos Epithemiou Show is cult favourite Angelos Epithemiou.
Angelos Epithemiou is the creation of critically acclaimed performer, Dan Renton Skinner, who has starred in such blockbuster films as The Spy Who Dumped Me, High Rise, and Swallows and Amazons for BBC Films and such TV serial-classics as The Tracy Ullman Show, Friday Night Dinner, and The Wrong Mans.
Alex Staniforth
Alex is an endurance athlete and mountaineer who has faced many challenges in his life. He has used these challenges to motivate him to achieve great things, such as climbing Mount Everest and raising money for charity. He is now on a mission to inspire others to overcome their own challenges and thrive. Alex suffered from epilepsy, bullying, and a stammer as a child. He found solace in the outdoors and began to challenge himself physically. He climbed Mont Blanc at age 17 and headed to the Himalayas for the first time in 2013. He attempted to climb Mera Peak and Baruntse, but was unsuccessful. In 2014, Alex attempted to climb Everest for the first time, but the expedition was cancelled due to an avalanche. He returned in 2015, but was trapped on the mountain when a devastating earthquake struck Nepal. He survived the earthquake and went on to climb Everest, raising money for charity in the process. Alex has raised over £85,000 for charity through his endurance challenges. He is now on a mission to inspire others to overcome their challenges and thrive. He has written two books about his experiences, Icefall and Another Peak.

Bevan has also written songs for Kylie Minogue, LIGHTS, and 5 Seconds of Summer. She is a passionate advocate for women in music and mentors young songwriters.
Bobby Mair (Live Comedy)
Originally from Canada, Bobby Mair is a uniquely talented stand up comedian that can set any comedy room ablaze. Winner of multiple comedy competitions, Bobby has opened for global touring comedians, including Bill Burr, Bill Maher, and Doug Stanhope.
Since moving to the UK, he has established himself as a stand out headliner with many TV appearances, including Roast Battle (Comedy Central), 8 Out of 10 Cats (Channel 4) and Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC Three). He was also the host of the reality horror show, Killer Camp (ITV2), and starred in the reality sitcom, Bobby and Harriet: Get Married (Vice).

We cannot wait to welcome 80’s cult star, Timmy Mallett to the auditorium. Known for his striking visual style, colourful glasses, and giant pink foam mallet he was the presenter of children’s TV shows Wide Awake and Wacaday. He will share his unique journey through show-business in this very special talk.

Joe Simpson is a figurative painter. His paintings have been shown both nationally and internationally, including prestigious venues such as The National Portrait Gallery. His work has seen him collaborate with an amazing array of musicians and actors, from Maxi Jazz to Olivia Colman.

Karteer Miyake Mugler and is a pioneer of ballroom evolution in Europe. They recently collaborated with Outernet and the National Trust, dancing in some of the most famous ballrooms in the world, to create a huge scale video installation for Pride. They share their knowledge and experiences from witnessing the growth of this art-form and scene across the last 10 years.

Jake Lambert (Live Comedy)
Jake Lambert fell into a career as a stand up, after gaining a following on Twitter under the pseudonym @LittleLostLad he decided to put down his iPhone and pick up a microphone. It has proven to be a great choice with him making it to the final of the Amused Moose Final 2016, semi-finals of the BBC New Comedy Award 2015, Magners New Comedian of the Year 2015, English Comedian of the Year 2015 and the Leicester Mercury New Act of the Year 2015.
Jake has gone on to support Seann Walsh, Kerry Godliman, Tom Allen and Rob Beckett on their UK tours as well as writing on Mock The Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats, The Now Show, News Quiz, Virtually Famous, Bake Off: The Professionals, and Bake Off: An Extra Slice.
In 2018 he made his TV debut performing on Comedy Central’s Live From The Comedy Store.
In August of 2018 he performed a sell-out run of his debut solo show Little Lost Lad at the Edinburgh comedy festival.
